As we at See Colombia Travel continue to grow, many things are happening that we’re getting excited about. You’ll remember our Facebook Marriage Proposal Video that went viral on YouTube; things are still happening with that. Moreover, we’ve been covered in the San Francisco Chronicle and USA Today and interviewed by The Guardian (UK), with a couple more big interviews on their way. My personal favourite bit of news, however, is our new found connection with Footprint Travel Guide Books.

I’m particularly proud of this for two reasons: 1) They’re travellers, we’re travellers. That means we understand each other and we share common interests. It’s great to be making connections with such prestigious publications. 2) They’re British, I’m British. That means they have a special place in my heart!

Footprint Books were founded all the way back in 1922 in Bath, England. In 1924 they published their 1st guide: the Anglo-South American Handbook. This remained their only publication for over 50 years, but come the 70s they began to expand, covering Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean too.

By the 90s the handbooks had split into their own categories, and the company began to expand both the countries they covered and their audience. Today they are one of the best and most trusted guide book companies in the world, offering detailed, reliable information to all their readers. Their speciality remains South America, and that’s why we’re so proud to be working with them.

So, to celebrate our connection, we’re pleased to tell you that during October if you sign up to our newsletter (http://seecolombia.travel/footprint-guides-promotion/) you’ll get a massive 55% off the price of the guide, and have it delivered direct to your door wherever you are in the world.
