Finally, take several baths in very cold turquoise water and admire a green landscape full of life.

2. The Volcano in the totumo Arboletes

Another tourist attraction in the Antioquia area is the walk to ARBOLETES, either outside the gulf (about five and a half hours by boat from Turbo, or the same route by road), where there is an attraction: the mud volcano that rises to two hundred meters from the beach. It is really fun to float in the warm bubbles of mud that appear in the center of the crater, and then bathe in the sea.

In this municipality, where the most important port in the region is located, the waters of the Atrato River flow, throwing many sediments and debris (especially tree branches) onto its beaches. Towards the northern part near Necoclí there are quite unexplored areas, which are reached by boat and the support of expert guides.

The most popular are those of La Martina, Simona del Mar, Plata Dulce or El Cangrejo, El Waffe pier and the very mouth of the Atrato River.
