In yet another sign that Colombia is probably the hottest travel destination in the world right now, CNN has named our favorite country as one of the 17 best places to visit in 2017 – the global news organization selected Colombia to feature on their list, joining The Guardian, Lonely Planet, Bloomberg, The Daily Telegraph and The Economist as media outlets to champion the country to potential visitors for 2017.
Noting Colombia’s “sizzling bean-to-coffee scene” (I’m not sure what other type of coffee there is, but there you go…), and “renaissance in design and infrastructure” in Medellin, CNN were quick to praise the growing sophistication of Colombia’s major cities, focusing on a slightly different angle to other publications, which have primarily championed Colombia’s natural diversity. It just goes to show the true depth that Colombia has to offer travelers of any taste…
This will likely be the last big ‘best of 2017’ accolade for Colombia as we move out of January and properly get the year started, but it’s safe to say that, if they didn’t before, the world now knows that Colombia is changing and developing, and ready for your visit!

There are lots of beautiful spots in the area that are worth visiting. Minca has some gorgeous hikes in the mountains, tubing in Palomino is a great day out, Costeno Beach hostel is a lovely place to relax for a few days as well.
