Latora Cuatro Brazos – Bogota’s best club?

Hidden away in Bogota’s Chapinero district you will find a gaudy red neon sign and a door leading to one of the city’s best places for a boogie. Latora Cuatro Brazos is frequented by Bogota’s trendies, party animals and a light smattering of fun-loving expats.

One of the reasons why this place is so great is the relaxed and friendly vibe. There are no illusions of grandeur, it’s no-frills and fairly cheap and you’re sure to have a great time whenever you go. The music is usually top-notch too, so cutting some wild shapes is just par for the course.

The sparsely decorated and simple venue contains a large main room and bar area, with some seating and plenty of space to move around in. Just through here there is a small room with sofas and, for some reason, a massive empty frame surrounded by light bulbs. Perfect for annoying Facebook photos.

There is also a small balcony which looks onto the main feature of this club – a massive ‘outdoor’ (smoking is allowed here despite the fact that it is clearly indoors) room with a bar, DJ booth and plenty of beautiful people.

The venue tends to attract a number of Colombian and international Electronica and House DJs, although there is often live music with a heavy Latin and Afro-Caribbean tone.

I spend a lot of time here (some may say a bit too much) and I am sure to keep frequenting this land of attractive people for as long as I am in Bogota. If you haven’t checked it out, you would be wise to pop in one weekend. In fact, I’m so confident that you will enjoy it, I am willing to offer a money-back guarantee* (*money-back guarantee not valid anywhere).
