Celebrating Colombia’s First Olympic Gold Medal of London 2012, and the Most Medals in Colombian History!

Today Colombia won gold. That’s pretty historic. It’s only their second ever gold medal in the Olympic games and, as you walk to street or listen to people in their houses or even just check your Facebook feed, you can see how much it means to them.

They also won bronze today, bringing their medal tally to 8. To put that into perspective, that’s almost tripled their previous best record at the Games. Colombia only signed up to the games in 1972, but it seems continued investment is paying off and hopes for the future are bright.

Here, in photos, are the 8 medalists. The pride of Colombia!
