This is a guest post by Di Michelle, a digital marketer and world traveller currently exploring South America, and blogging about it on her travel blog ‘Slight North’. Over the next few months she will be sharing photographic tales of her Colombian travels with the Colombia Travel Blog through here travel photo diaries. First up…the charming colonial town of Jardin in southern Antioquia…

Di says: “If you’re visiting Medellin, Jardín is one trip you shouldn’t miss [link here for Jardin’s map location]. The well preserved colonial architecture, colorful buildings, beautiful basilica, and lively town square make it the perfect peaceful getaway from Medellin. There is nowhere on earth more peaceful than Jardín. It’s a breath of fresh air away from the long work hours, the stress, and the constant screen time the rest of the world seems to revolve around now, and I’m convinced time forgot it was there, and has continued to pass by without it. If you want to decompress, de-stress, and get away from it all, Jardín is certainly the place to do it. Not convinced? Check out my photo diary below of this idyllic town, and visit my website for all my thoughts on Jardin…”

Hope you enjoyed the photos! See you on my next Colombia Travel Photo Diary…
