Mi Casa Hotel es Tu Casa Hotel.
You’ve bought your tickets, packed your bags, boarded the plane for your long haul flight, arrived in your holiday destination and now you feel absolutely exhausted. The traffic from the airport is manic, you just want to get to your hotel and relax. Well that’s where people like Eva and Oscar come in.

They’re the brother-sister teams behind Hotel Casa Paquín close to Zona Rosa and just around the corner from Parque Virrey, near Zona Rosa. Eva and Oscar have been in business for just the last year and a half, but their hotel, which was once an office block, is the kind of place you’ll want to stay after a hectic rush into Bogotá. They’re not the type to just ask for your ID, sign you in and send you on your way either. They want to know you, what you want out of your trip to Bogotá. They’ll be your guide if you want one, they’ll suggest where you should go for dinner, depending on what food you like, where to go, what landmarks to visit.

While I was staying at Hotel Casa Paquin, Oscar was showing a group of German tourists around Santander. Are you in Bogotá for work? Are you here on business? Or are you here to play hard and take advantage of the shopping? Let Eva and Oscar know and they will have it sorted for you. Luckily, it’s so close to trendy Zona Rosa that all those things extremely accessible within a 10 minute walk!
The hotel is made up 15 rooms which are either double with a king-size bed or two single beds, or single rooms with a double bed. Each of the rooms have been decorated differently which soothing colour schemes which Eva says they did deliberately so to evoke a restful stay while at the hotel.

There is also a room on the ground floor with disability access and hand rails in the bathrooms and a large bedroom downstairs for parents with children. I slept in one of the double suites on the top floor. I opened the door and flopped onto the pillow-covered bed. I was out. How did you sleep? Eva said the next morning. I couldn’t remember actually falling asleep and slept through my 7am alarm, so that must be good.

Eva showed me the way through to the kitchen where a chef was waiting for my breakfast order.

Fruit, cheese, croissants and jam were already waiting for me on the table and a hot cup of coffee was just being poured. Oh yeah, good morning Bogotá – I could get used to this!

Sometimes an overseas holiday can be stressful – your luggage arrives late, the city you’ve landed in can take some time to adjust to, sometimes all we want are the comforts from home to put our nerves at ease. For all kinds of travellers, be you a business person, a holiday maker, a short stayer in Bogota, a family, or just a single traveller, this hotel will be ideal
It seems Eva and Oscar know all about the feelings of the eager traveller and they work hard to make people feel absolutely at home and comfortable when they visit their intimate Bogotá hotel.
