If you’re a regular reader of our Colombia Travel Blog, you already know that 2011 was a fantastic year for us and the See Colombia Travel team , not only we broke our own record by bringing more than three times the amount of international passengers to Colombia compared to 2010, but we were also featured in such prestigious media outlets as Paris Match, The Wall Street Journal, BBC The World, Times Magazine, New York Daily News and many more, while reaching traffic peaks of around 3000 visitors per day. We are very proud of all our achivements and looking forward to invest as much time, enthusiasm and hard work to reach our goal of helping to promote Colombia as one of the world´s most desirable travel destinations during 2012 and becoming Colombia´s preferred incoming tour operator as well 🙂
While reviewing 2011´s happenings there was one thing in particular that caught our attention: The collaborative Colombia photo gallery we set up in early 2011 became the third most visited page of our main site. That, without any major specific action other than using our social media platforms regularly to promote the diferent photographers that are part of the project. Given that realization, one of our main projects in 2012, starting in February, is to launch an ongoing campaign to promote our collaborative galleries as much as possible.
Our goal is to showcase the work of Colombian photographers ( and photographers that love Colombia ) and, of course, show the beauty of the Colombian landscapes and people to the world. As we did with our original 11 photographers, every gallery will include a paragraph with the bio of each participant as well as links to their websites, flickr accounts, blogs, etc. All pictures , of course, will be properly credited according to each participant requirements , and all galleries promoted thru our Marketing and Communication tools.
