Getting there
Several flights run daily from Bogota throughout the year with Avianca, Aires and easyfly.
What to do in the Colombia Coffee Triangle
Plaza de Bolivar in Armenia or the main plaza in Salento are good places for a stroll and, somewhat inevitably, for a coffee. The modern cathedral is also well worth a visit, despite being badly damaged in the 1999 earthquake (refurbishment is nearing completion). The primary draw of the area is, of course, the coffee plantations and the nearby mountain regions which are within an easy distance to reach by car or public transport.
