Day 1. Medellin. City Tour & Pablo Escobar is History
A 5 hour trip, that uncovers the roots of Medellín and its most iconic symbols, such as the “Pueblito Paisa”, the Intelligent Building, the Plaza Mayor, the Administrative Center of La Alpujarra and Carabobo street. We will travel in the “Metro Cable”, a massive transportation system unique to the city, and visit of the España Library Park and its distinctive architectural structure.
The tour continuous and gives you plenty of information about Pablo Escobar and his legacy, but contrasting the city today with the information you’re given it becomes increasingly clear that Pablo Escobar is well and truly history. You will be taken through the streets of Medellín to the house in which Escobar was hiding shortly before he died, on the roof of the very same building. You’ll be told more information about his life and death and, circumstances permitting, you can go inside to see for yourself how he attempted to escape before the police caught him. The tour ends at Escobar’s final resting place, a cemetery on the outskirts of Medellín. It’s here you can learn more about the complicated legacy the man left behind, as the special grave will suggest. Return to your hotel.

JARDIN – horseback ride/hike to Alto de Las Flores & Splendor Cave
Day 1. Jardin Tour
This morning you will have breakfast at 6:30 before embarking on your journey to the Alto de Las Flores waterfall and the Splendor Cave. After breakfast, we will depart on horseback toward Alto de Las Flores, where we will stop to take photos and leave the horses. From here we will walk for approximately 30 minutes to the cave. After having time to explore the Spendor Cave, we will return the same way we came. Upon our return to the house where the horses were left, we will have the option to go to a coffee farm to experience the process of producing coffee. Should you choose to visit the coffee farm, lunch will be included. Return to Jardin at the end of the day’s activities. Meals: B,L,D.
CAROLINA DEL PRINCIPE & CONCEPCION
Day 4. Medellin – Carolina del Principe & Concepcion
Today we’ll leave Medellin and head to the municipality of Concepcion. This is the kind of town where no one is a stranger. The cobblestone streets and colonial balconies still retain their originality from when the town was founded. From here you can take hikes, visit thermal pools, waterfalls, go rapelling or sport fishing. You will stay in this historically Colombian town for the evening. Meals: B.
Day 5. Return to Medellin
Today we will visit other sites around Concepcion on the way back to Medellin. Meals: B.
SANTA FE DE ANTIOQUIA
Day 12 & 13. Medellin – Santa Fe de Antioquia & Free Day
After breakfast we leave Medellín for Santa Fe de Antioquia municipality, declared Humanity´s Heritage. Its small cobbled streets and its beautiful houses with balconies recall the colonial period. The access road goes through a 4km tunnel and by the “Puente Colgante de Occidente”, a masterpiece of engineering from the 19 century. As an optional activity you could go horse riding in the surrounding mountains. Tomorow enjoy a free day in the city of the “Eternal Spring”.
ORIENTE & GUATAPE
Day 6 - January 4. Medellin – Oriente & Guatape
This tour will begin with a visit to Peñol Rock, which is one of the most interesting natural attractions in Colombia. Then we will visit the village of Guatape, famous for the details of the homes and the Peñol-Guatape reservoir. As an optional activity, take a little tour of the reservoir in a boat, go to the top of Peñol Rock, take the cable car or simply enjoy the artisan craft stalls and the life next to the water (optional activites not included). Around noon we will visit Rionegro. Here we will eat lunch (not included) and then visit San Antonio de Pereira, which is famous for its desserts. The tour continues on the street of trees and onward to the entrance to Tutucán. After leaving Tutucán, we will stop at the touristic inn called El Tequendamita. Afterward, we will visit Retiro to learn about the traditional production of timber. We will end our tour admiring the beautiful scenery surrounding the Dam of Faith. Meals: B.

Day 6 - January 4. Medellin – Hop on- of bus
Enjoy the innovative city of Medellin at your own pace on this surprising and interactive bus tour. Here you will visit all the main tourist destinations accompanied by a guide who will share the history, the culture and the most interesting and important details of this vibrant city. It is a Hop On – Hop Off service which allows you the get on and off the bus at your own leisure at any of the 7 authorised stops which include Parque del Poblado, Parque de los Deseoas, Estación del Metro, Parque de los Pies Descalzos, Cerro Nutibara, Plaza Botero and Centro Comercial Santafé. Feel free to enjoy each of the attractions at your own pace and by the end of the tour you will no doubt start to feel like a local.
PANORAMIC CITY TOUR – ARVI PARK
Day 9 - January 31. Medellin. Panoramic tour and Arvi Park
We will travel in the “Metro Cable”, a massive transportation system unique to the city. Later we will take a cable car that will take us to the Arvi Park; on our way we will get to see the España Library Park and its distinctive architectural structure. Upon arrival you will get to see this amazing natural park from your own bike. Meals: B.
SANTA HELENA – ARVI PARK
Day 14 - December 28. Medellin - Santa Helena - Arvi Park. Horseback ride
Home of the silleteros (flower farmers) and to one of the largest ecological parks in the region, Santa Elena offers the perfect mix of Colombian culture, natural beauty and adventurous activities, all within close proximity to Medellin. At the chosen time you’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken to San Elena only 52 kms away from for a 4-hour horseback ride through farms to panoramic view points. Meals: B, L (lunch box).
