That Medellín has benefited from the character of its people is unquestionable. Once dominated by Pablo Escobar’s drug cartel, it now lays claim to being the most innovative city in the world, thanks to the optimism, industry and pride of the paisas that call Medellín home. A short break to Medellín offers the chance to experience dining at its finest, to experience the city’s outrageous nightlife and just soak up its energetic buzz. Known as ‘The City of Eternal Spring’, the title not only describes the near-constant perfect weather, but also the perpetual sense of hope and renewal that characterizes Colombia’s fastest-growing city.
