US$963 €0 - £0

On this  tour of South America’s northernmost region, you will come face to face with some incredibly unique landscapes and stunningly beautiful beaches. Enjoy a boat trip through the stunning bays, relax on Bahia Honda’s beaches and indulge in delicious, fresh seafood. You’ll also get to marvel at some stunning sunsets from what seems like the end of the world. Be inspired by the deep, bold colours of the dunes and the sea and get to know the local, indigenous culture as you explore Punta Gallinas.

Day 1 - February 24. Cartagena- Riohacha

At the chosen time, you’ll be transferred from Cartagena to Riohacha in La Guajira. This unique destination is also where desert meets Caribbean; on the way you will visit the Pink Flamingos Flora & Fauna Sanctuary to later continue to the Rancheria – Wayuu tribe’s posadas – where you will spend  the night. Meals: D.

Day 2 - February 25. Cavo de la Vela

Today you will join a group (only in Spanish) for your visit to Cabo de la Vela, visiting the towns of Uribia & Manuare. You’ll also see the beaches of Ojo De Agua and Pilon de Azucar (“Pile of Sugar”). Continue to the Rancheria where you´ll spend the night. Meals: B,L,D.

Day 3 - February 26. Cavo de la Vela - Punta Gallinas

Today, you’ll make your way towards Punta Gallinas, the northernmost point in South America, which offers unique landscapes and a stunning sense of serenity and isolation. En route, you will pass through a wind farm and then Puerto Bolivar, the largest port in Colombia, used mainly to export the region’s huge quantities of coal, before passing through Bahia Portete. Enjoy lunch in Pusheo, an incredibly deserted and beautiful beach. You’ll then get the chance to explore the equally picturesque and unique beaches of Bahia Honda, before taking a boat trip through the secluded bays of Punta Soldado, Bahia Hondita and Las Tres Islas. Spend the night in Punta Gallinas, sleeping in a large, traditional wayuu hammock. Meals: B,L,D.

Day 4 - February 27. Punta Gallinas

After breakfast, take some time to relax on the stunning sands of Punta Aguja beach, staring into the infinite horizon. Enjoy lunch in Punta Gallinas before visiting a solitary lighthouse and the stunning deep-coloured sands of the awe-inspiring dunes and beach of Taroa. Take in a sunset like none you’ve ever seen before from atop a dune at the end of the world. After dinner, spend the night in Punta Gallinas, sleeping in a large, traditional wayuu hammock. Meals: B,L,D.

Day 5 - February 28. Punta Gallinas - Riohacha

At the chosen time, transfer back to Riohacha for your last time in La Guajira. Meals: B.

Day 6 - March 1. Riohacha - Home.

At the chosen time you will be transferred to the airport by taxi for your flight back home. All good things must come to an end, after all. Of course, if 6 days just isn´t enough time in Colombia, our tours are 100% customizable and we´d be happy to extend your stay with us. Just ask for more details. Meals: B.
