Colombia is a country of dizzying variety. This tour will introduce you to the fascinating blend of adventures offered within Colombia’s borders. You will be introduced to the unique landscapes and colours of the the Colombian Caribbean.You will wander the desolate beaches of Tayrona National Park, where palm trees sway in the breeze and turquoise waters lap the golden Caribbean shores. Day 1 - February 24. Cartagena - Santa Marta - Tayrona
At the chosen time, land transfer to Santa Marta and Tayrona National Park (about 7 hours) where you will spend the night. Upon arrival at the park you will have to walk for over 40 min to get to the hammocks area (Cañaveral) where you´ll check in. If you choose not to walk you can find horses for hire (not included – COL$18.000 per horse each way) at the entrance.
Day 2 & 3 - February 25 & 26. Tayrona National Park
During the next few days you have the option to walk through Tayrona National Park’s most unforgettable beaches and unmissable sites. Tayrona National Park is where the Colombian jungle meets the Caribbean, and is a great place for nature-lovers and beach-lovers alike. Important archaeological sites and beaches we’ll see include: Calabazo, Pueblito, Cape San Juan, La Piscina (natural swimming pool), Arrecifes and Cañaveral.
Day 4 - February 27. Tayrona - Riohacha
You’ll be transferred to Riohacha – the northern most point of South America. This unique destination is also where desert meets Caribbean. In the afternoon you will visit the Pink Flamingos Flora & Fauna Sanctuary. Return to the Rancheria – Wayuu tribe’s posadas – where you will spend two nights at one of the. Meals: D.
Day 5 - February 28. La Guajira
Today you will join a group (only in Spanish) for your visit to Cabo de la Vela, visiting the towns of Uribia & Manuare. You’ll also see the beaches of Ojo De Agua and Pilon de Azucar (“Pile of Sugar”). Return to the Rancheria. Meals: B,L,D.
Day 6 - March 1. Rancheria - Riohacha - Home.
At the chosen time you will be transferred to the airport by taxi for your flight back home. All good things must come to an end, after all.
