Question of the day: What can you buy with $1,000 Colombian Pesos?

Depending on how you look at it, COP$1,000 can go a very long way… Or barely get you anything at all. As Marina A. Assaedi points out, it won’t get you even a bus ride in Colombia, and, yet, it can buy you 3 cups of coffee if you know where to look.

If you can get all this for $1,000, just imagine what this much can get you! (Photo courtesy of Brent Hellickson http://www.flickr.com/photos/bmh4you/54927441/)

With this strange fixture of Colombian economics in mind, we thought we’d put it to Twitter and Facebook to find out just what can you buy with $1,000COL?
