It is easy to imagine a place situated in the most prominent upper corner of a whole continent; it is so simple to fully visualize the importance of such a place politically and geographically, and wonder whether with this location in the world how many good gifts, this place was also provided with.
And yes, this is a gifted place; nature did not keep any of its extravagances when it was about to spread them through that corner later known as Colombia, for nature spent all its creation resources on that crucial piece of land of all lands. Gifted because it was given the best of all climates, the longest of all rivers, the flatter of all lands, the highest of all picks, the greenest of all grass-lands and the largest of all coasts in two seas.
And then it was given to everybody to enjoy and we have enjoyed it. Not everybody yet know about this nature marvel but the ones who have come to enjoy it, to see it thoroughly and learn about it fully, will have to go back and invite others to do the same. The many places Colombia hides to be discovered by the traveler are not enough as there is not enough time to visit them all. But one has to go by little’s.
Colombia needs lots of help to show the full extension of its diversity. There are wonderful places such as the Tequendama Falls, Zipaquira Salt Mine Cathedral, the Macarena Park Reserve just to name a few that could be considered as World Wonders but with a weak touristic infrastructure; this is a country that has gone through a long period of bad publicity some of it clearly earned but most of it as a mere speculation. Maybe that is one of the reasons why not a lot has yet been invested on its promotion.
But fortunately times change as in any other part of the world, and time has arrived for Colombia to become an interesting, adventurous and relaxing touristic destination. The traveler will want to stay longer and longer when knowing more and better what Colombia has on offer, and that traveler will go back always wanting to come back. It will be impossible to keep the pleasures enjoyed while in Colombia and not to disclose those to fellow travelers.
