As we keep on telling you, Medell\u00edn is awesome. Especially during the Flower Festival. It\u00b4s a funny coincidence, but it just so happens that official precedings kick off today. Don\u00b4t panic, though: if you haven\u00b4t lugged your pack to the City of Eternal Spring (and partays), you haven\u00b4t missed out on everything. There\u00b4s still plenty of time to see Medell\u00edn at its best, as the partays get serious later on next week.<\/p>\n

Thus, the following guide should help you have the best time possible.<\/p>\n

Call The Wandering Paisa<\/a>. Now. Why are you still at the computer screen, bud? I\u00b4m usually wary of places claiming to be \u00a8the best blah blah in blah blah,\u00a8 because, if you are actually the best, you probably don\u00b4t need to go on claiming to be. Still, we haven\u00b4t come across a better hostel in the Paisa Capital. A great location, friendly and knowledgable staff, and, of course, hammocks. If you didn\u00b4t roll into town with your crew, this is the best spot to find some Flower Buddies.<\/p>\n

Drink.<\/h2>\n

\"Aguardiente\"<\/a>
I\u00b4m afraid it has to be done.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

The people of Medell\u00edn are (understandably) proud of all things Medell\u00edn – from their metro, their mullets, to their guaro. They claim that Antioque\u00f1o aguardiente is the best in the world. Even if this were true, it would still be aguardiente, which means that it is, by definition, terrible. OK, I\u00b4ll have another shot. Why not?<\/p>\n

Also, a brand of beer called Pilsen seems to be favoured in these parts. Just a heads up, guys.<\/p>\n

This sort of thing is the norm at Mangos. Just so you\u00b4re prepared.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

After you\u00b4ve filled your face at Chef Burger, there are plenty of party options around Poblado, which is Paisa Party Central, However, if you head down the road to\u00a0Itag\u00fc\u00ed (Carrera 42 No. 67A \u2013 151), you\u00b4ll discover probably the most (in)famous club in town, Mangos<\/a>. Allegedly, it\u00b4s so popular, because the proprietor did a deal with the devil. I think he can play a pretty mean guitar, too.<\/p>\n

Of course, being the biggest time of the year, there are plenty of concerts, and just general shenanigans on the street all through Medell\u00edn. It\u00b4s going to be difficult to\u00a0not\u00a0<\/em>have a good time. Why would you even want to prove me wrong, though?<\/p>\n

Oh yeah; there just happens to be a Flower Festival going on.<\/h2>\n

Oops: I almost forgot.I was writing this post because of the flower festival, right? Check out the intricate and spectacular flower dislays. They even beat those at the Royal Easter Show back in Sydney, impossible to believe as that is. Marvel at the feats of strength of the\u00a0stileteros<\/em>, guys carrying massive floral displays on their backs. Flowers can get heavy, believe you me.
