Hello again everyone!<\/p>\n

Great week this week, although very busy as good things keep happening to us in the office…<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, I made a promise to answer some of you questions every Friday and I won’t let you down!! This week’s question came from Trip Advisor<\/a>, where I spend a lot of time trying to help people navigate and plan their various trips to Colombia.<\/p>\n

The question posed was about a potential itinerary involving 4 days in the Amazon region<\/a> and 4 days in Bogot\u00e1 for 3 people. Great, something to sink my teeth into\u2026<\/p>\n

The dense jungles of Colombia’s Amazon region<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

What I would suggest for someone looking to blend both Bogot\u00e1 and the Amazon into one trip (great idea by the way, mixing cosmopolitan Bogot\u00e1 with the wilderness of Colombia\u2019s Amazon region!) is as follows:<\/p>\n

Day 1:<\/strong> Arrive in Bogota and spend the night. I would recommend a hotel in the north of the city, where you\u2019ll be surrounded by bars and restaurants of international standards.<\/p>\n

Day 2:<\/strong> Take a City Tour (you can do it on a bike too, as Linda and Bernie found out<\/a>) which will show you the best of the city such as\u00a0La Candelaria, the Gold Museum and maybe, if you like, Monserrate.<\/p>\n

Day 3:<\/strong> Go to the peaceful, charming Villa de Leyva and on the way stop to visit the Salt Cathedral of\u00a0Zipaquira<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Day 4:<\/strong> Take a walking tour and if you have time visit the stunning Chorrera waterfalls \u2013 unforgettable!<\/p>\n

Day 5:<\/strong> On your way back to Bogot\u00e1 stop at\u00a0Raquira for some amazing handcrafts in the most colourful town in\u00a0Colombia<\/a><\/p>\n

Day 6:<\/strong> Flight to\u00a0Leticia, Amazon: here we come!<\/p>\n

Day 7:<\/strong> Learn about the culture of some indigenous communities and stay at the fascinating natural reserve.<\/p>\n

Day 8:<\/strong> Swim and make friends with pink dolphins (surely a first for most people?!), or just go for a walk in the forests and discover all about Colombia\u2019s spectacular and diverse wildlife.<\/p>\n

Day 9:<\/strong> Fly back to Bogota and, if you have time, head further north to Usaqu\u00e9n where you\u2019ll find a great deal of fantastic dining options.<\/p>\n

Day 10:<\/strong> Fly back home =(<\/p>\n
