If you’re from Stateside or Canada and spending Thanksgiving in a foreign country it can be a difficult thing. Thanksgiving is a time for family, and all-out American and Canadian traditions.<\/p>\n

Thanksgiving in Colombia isn’t really celebrated, despite occasional advertisement in Carulla<\/a>, but don’t worry if you want to celebrate Thanksgiving in Bogot\u00e1 somehow, because there are two huge parties to check out that’ll make you forget everything you’re missing out on. Being an American expat in Colombia ain’t so bad, is it?<\/p>\n

So, to celebrate Thanksgiving in Bogot\u00e1 your best bets are:<\/p>\n

Armando Records’ 4 Year Anniversary Event. It’s $20,000 to get in and some great acts are playing:\u00a0Poolside, Kisses and Las Kellies.<\/p>\n

In La Puerta Grande, Parque 93, Chocquibtown will be bringing their tropi-hop act to Bogot\u00e1. Tickets cost $50,000 and the night will kick off at 9pm (although don’t expect the band to start until close to midnight).<\/p>\n

If you’re in the salsa mood, La Villa is always a great night on a Thursday with their\u00a0Exchange Salsa<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you’re looking to celebrate Thanksgiving in Cartagena, then the corporation “Actuar por Bol\u00edvar” have organised an event for Thanksgiving Night which will include a typical Thanksgiving dinner, a musical show, some gifts and the opportunity to give a Happy Christmas to children in vulnerable situations in the city of Cartagena.
