One minute you get a waft of arepa de chocolo from a lady behind a grill perched on the side of the road and then BAM, out of nowhere, there are\u00a0Tudor-style houses and English pubs. Well last week, as <a title=\"Paul\" href=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/author\/paul\/\">Paul<\/a> and I were taking in the sites of Bogot\u00e1 in search of coffee and Wifi, we came across this cute little caf\u00e9 called <a title=\"Casa 53*76, Chapinero\" href=\"http:\/\/www.53-76.com\/\">Casa 53*76<\/a>\u00a0in Chapinero.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5086\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5086\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Casa-e1350578046490.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5086\" title=\"Casa 53*76, Chapinero\" src=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Casa-e1350578046490.jpg\" alt=\"Casa 53*76, Chapinero\" width=\"600\" height=\"266\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5086\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Casa 53*76, Chapinero<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We had some official See Colombia Travel work to do so we popped in for a hot choco and some food. If you&#8217;re learning Spanish numbers, then pay a visit to Casa and ask for their Wifi code. It took me a good few goes to get the clave right! Was that doce or dos? Cero seitenta seis or cero seisenta seis? In the end the waiter just showed me his mobile, where the password was typed. Easy.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5082\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5082\" style=\"width: 498px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/2012-10-16-16.02.59-e1350577891292.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5082\" title=\"Sandwich, salad and chips from Casa 53*76\" src=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/2012-10-16-16.02.59-e1350577891292.jpg\" alt=\"Sandwich, salad and chips from Casa 53*76\" width=\"498\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5082\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sandwich, salad and chips from Casa 53*76<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Paul had already eaten so it was pretty much just me <a title=\"Pigging out \u2013 food in Cali.\" href=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/2012\/10\/pigging-out-food-in-cali\/\">pigging out<\/a>, as usual. I had a chicken sandwich with some creamy garlic sauce and a hot chocolate. I think the choco was around $4,500col and the sandwich was around $16,000col but it was damned tasty and the sandwich came with a mountain of paprika-sprinkled chips.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5084\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5084\" style=\"width: 450px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/2012-10-16-16.46.50-e1350577978393.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5084\" title=\"Tienda RE, Chapinero\" src=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/2012-10-16-16.46.50-e1350577978393.jpg\" alt=\"Tienda RE, Chapinero\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5084\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tienda RE, Chapinero<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>After we finished lunch we got our hipster on across the road at Tienda RE which is a gorgeous little shop which stocks unique designs by the likes of Clavelito, Venami, La Ropola, Joyas Blandas and Dear Maria as well as many many others.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5083\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5083\" style=\"width: 450px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/2012-10-16-16.46.48-e1350577933378.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5083\" title=\"Cute designs at Tienda RE\" src=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/2012-10-16-16.46.48-e1350577933378.jpg\" alt=\"Cute designs at Tienda RE\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5083\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cute designs at Tienda RE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I found it really difficult to leave this place without buying anything. A purple rabbit pot plant? How can I not have this in my life?
