You can hit Zona T and rub shoulders with the young, trendy crews; you can mingle with the professionals in Parque 93; you can join the students in Chapinero or head to La Candelaria, where it seems the whole world is partying. The Colombia Travel Blog?

If we’ve got money and time then we head to Andres Carne de Res for a truely unforgettable night.

First up: the food. Unrivalled in terms of quality and presentation, it’s arguably Colombia’s best restaurant and certainly the best meat I’ve tasted in the country. I recommend getting anything beefy. Well-cooked, tender and delicious.

Once the food is over, however, is when the real experience starts. Andres Carne de Res is a place full of color and chaos. The walls are adorned with incredible kitsch decorations, costumed performers wander around the club and while all this is going on the best selection of internation and local music is being played.

Ultimately the best thing about Andres Carne de Res is the atmosphere. Since it’s not easy to get to, people tend to be devoted to having a good time and enjoying the night without reservations. People come in groups, but it always ends up that the entire club seems to be socialising with each other.

A couple I met (he just proposed!)

To get to Andres Carne de Res you’ll need to either book a bus with a group or take a taxi (roughly $40-50,000) since it’s outside the city in a place called Chia. Entrance is $15,000, while a bottle of alcohol will set you back about $120,000. It’s certainly not the cheapest night in Bogota, but if you do decide to go, you’ll soon discover it’s one of the most fun.
