In <strong>another boost for our favourite country in the world<\/strong>, renowned newspaper <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/travel\/ng-interactive\/2017\/jan\/07\/where-to-go-on-holiday-in-2017-the-hot-list#CentralAndSouthAmerica\" target=\"_blank\">The Guardian has named Colombia on their travel &#8216;hot list&#8217; for 2017<\/a>, alongside other Latin American countries such as Bolivia and Belize.<\/p>\n<p>Describing the country as <strong>&#8220;hotting up as a destination,&#8221;<\/strong> and paying particular attention to tourist destinations such as <strong>Palomino, Capurgana, Tayrona, La Guajira, San Agustin and Cano Cristales<\/strong>, the section on Colombia also notes that 2017 may well be the year that &#8220;the tourist floodgates open.&#8221; While this seems like a slight exaggeration, it is clear that t<strong>his year is poised to be Colombia&#8217;s best ever year for international tourism.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/2016\/10\/21-reasons-why-you-have-to-visit-colombia-in-2017\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Why visit Colombia? \u2013\u00a0\u201c21 reasons why you have to visit Colombia in 2017\u201d<\/strong><\/a><\/h1>\n<p>So thanks again to The Guardian, Bloomberg, Lonely Planet etc. etc. Colombia seems to be even closer to <strong>finally shaking off its negative reputation and living up to its tourism potential.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chris<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Colombia is racking up tourism accolades faster than I can write articles about them these days!
