So in homage to those ugly ducklings, those spritely young things that just come about at the wrong time, here&#8217;s a run down of our top (or bottom?) 5 least popular posts of 2011.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/2011\/03\/an-introduction-to-vallenato\/\" target=\"_blank\">An Introduction to Vallenato, Colombia&#8217;s Folk Music<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1744\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1744\" style=\"width: 251px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/buenastardescosteno.bmp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1744\" title=\"A vallenato cat\" src=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/buenastardescosteno.bmp\" alt=\"A vallenato cat\" width=\"251\" height=\"244\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1744\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A vallenato cat<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We also posted something about <a title=\"Colombian Folklore \u2013 The beautiful music and dance of Cumbia\" href=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/2011\/12\/colombian-folklore-the-beautiful-music-and-dance-of-cumbia\/\" target=\"_blank\">cumbia music <\/a>which got a great response, but for some reason this little nugget of information about vallenato just never clicked. Pah. As a resident of Bogota, I can only say I wish it was always sunny in Colombia but sadly that&#8217;s not the case. You can experience every weather there is in this fascinating country, from snow to sleet to sun. A place I&#8217;d never heard of didn&#8217;t expect much from turned out to be one of my favourite places to go.
