I was born in Bogota and decided that <strong>before jetting off to discover the world I should <\/strong><a title=\"Una Colombiana que decide conocer su pa\u00eds\" href=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/2013\/10\/una-colombiana-que-decide-conocer-su-pais\/\" target=\"_blank\">get to know my own country better<strong>.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The first place I visited &#8211; and have now been to four times in total &#8211; is Medellin. It\u2019s almost impossible to resist visiting again and <strong>getting blown away every time I go<\/strong>. It might be due to its warm weather, the friendly people, or the activities on offer for all tastes, with a party atmosphere all year round, numerous cultural events and <strong>natural resources for adventure sports<\/strong> such as: zip line at Arvi Park, aquaseiling (abseiling down a waterfall) and abseiling in Tamesis or going paragliding in San Felix; <strong>all of which I was able to enjoy while taking in an amazing view<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_13073\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13073\" style=\"width: 470px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/2014\/01\/carolinas-greatest-colombian-moment\/paraglading\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-13073\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-13073   \" src=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Paraglading-e1390493303321.jpg\" alt=\"A picture is worth a thousand words.\" width=\"470\" height=\"353\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-13073\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A picture is worth a thousand words.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>There&#8217;s also the Colombian Caribbean<\/strong>, with reggae beats, crystal clear waters, a ridiculous variety of fish, Hollywood sunsets, as well as the opportunity to admire the seven colored sea with its warm waters. In fact, this part of the world is<strong>\u00a0considered to be one of the best for scuba diving<\/strong>, it&#8217;s simply another world down there. \u00a0Coming across exotic animals in <a title=\"From the vault: \u201cProvidencia \u2013 Colombia\u2019s Caribbean Paradise\u201d\" href=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/2013\/10\/from-the-vault-providencia-colombias-caribbean-paradise\/\" target=\"_blank\">Providencia<\/a> and sailing the open waters for more than six hours is something that I will never forget.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_13077\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13077\" style=\"width: 470px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/2014\/01\/carolinas-greatest-colombian-moment\/img_20131020_180840\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-13077\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-13077   \" src=\"http:\/\/seecolombia.travel\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/IMG_20131020_180840-e1390493348974.jpg\" alt=\"On the way back to San Andr\u00e9s from Providencia\" width=\"470\" height=\"353\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-13077\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">On the way back to San Andr\u00e9s from Providencia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lastly <strong>wandering the enchanting streets of historical Cartagena is simply magical<\/strong>, taking in so much culture in each of the museums, its colonial architecture, walking along the walled city, talking to street vendors, marvelling at the sunset from a fancy caf\u00e9, \u00a0and, why not, taking the Segway tour.
