There’s not really a lot to do in Mompós, that’s the beauty of the place really. Wake up early, enjoy the town in the cool of the early morning, breakfast, a bit more strolling around, retire to a hammock for a few hours at midday to avoid the intense heat, late lunch, maybe a boat on the Magdalena River and the cienaga in the afternoon and early evening, some drinks and dinner on a plaza before an early night…it’s amazing how a schedule that involves very little can take up an entire day! But that was my schedule over the 4 days I spent in one of my favorite towns in Colombia earlier this month. The other thing I did was take a ridiculous amount of pictures of this wonderfully photogenic spot, so here are the best ones…
