We all love Colombia, right? Naturally, or we wouldn’t be working on/reading this blog…But as much as we’d like to spend ages every day searching for beautiful photos of Colombia, who has the time! Luckily there’s this new-fangled website that the kid’s are calling ‘Instagram’ which allows you to upload photos daily, tag them, and expose them to anyone who’s interested. Pretty cool, eh!? We thought so, so we’ve gone and got ourselves a shiny new account…You can follow it yourself, right here.
The Colombia Travel Blog is passionate about this country and spreading the word about it’s diversity, beauty and openess, and Instagram is just one more way of helping to change the world’s mind about Colombia: it’s already happening; more and more people are visiting and seeing for themselves what a wonderful place this is. Our goal with our stream of pictures is to demonstrate the startling variety of Colombia, as well as to disprove misconceptions about travelling and spending time here.
So here are 5 pretty persuasive reasons for following us on Instagram:
1. CELEBRITIES!
Everyone get’s excited by famous people, and we’re no exception. But with Falcao and Shakira, Colombia has a pretty good one-two punch on famous figures…and we have some pretty good photos of them both…
2. So much food!
Call me an old fogey, but I’ve never really understood the modern obsession with photographing our meals: I’m usually too busy, you know, eating them to worry about camera settings. However, we roll with the times here at See Colombia, so our Instagram has plenty of pictures of delicious Colombian delicacies to get your mouth watering…
3. Stunning Landscapes
As you may have seen in our photo gallery last week, Colombia’s natural diversity is stunning. And there are plenty more photos of this gorgeous diversity…you know where!
4. Information
It’d be too easy to just stick up a few photos and hope people like them, but we are committed to helping people to learn more about Colombia, and look beyond the more damaging stereotypes, so all of our photos come with a blogger-style fact attack. We wouldn’t be an award-winning travel blog without the facts…
