All this week we have been releasing our new galleries of pictures of Colombia. Day 4, and here are Valeria Torrens’ wonderful photos of Colombia.
Valeria started travelling at the tender age of 15 months: and this wasn’t just some ‘2 weeks at the beach with the new baby’ trip, this was a 90 day tour of Europe! After years of travelling the world with her equally adventurous parents, Valeria packed in her career in advertising and headed to Brazil. She was meant to stay for a month – a month became 6 years!
Eventually she decided to come home and settle into a ‘normal’ life but, unable to satisfy her wanderlust, she started working on cruise ships. Says Valeria: “Of course I should also say to the one that decides to engage in this lifestyle, that you will get up one day to go to work and you´ll be back home after 6 months. Of course, you will also miss a lot of things: weddings, birthdays, births… you lose those small daily happenings. When the bonds are strong and love is big, nothing is lost, on the contrary, it`s enriched. You will return with thousands of pictures and stories to tell and share.” Amen!
