VIDEO: Trekking in Colomba, The Lost City (Ciudad Perdida)

A village en route to the Lost City

Colombia is a trekker’s paradise, with routes to be found through snow-capped mountains, Amazonian jungle, desert landscapes and places such as Cocora Valley, which has no parallel. One trek gaining increasing popularity is The Lost City (Ciudad Perdida), accessible from Santa Marta, Taganga and Tayrona National Park.

It’s little wonder the trek is so popular – it combines the spectacular end-point of the lost city (comparable to Machu Picchu) with indigenous tribes, amazing wildlife and an unforgettable trek.

Off2Colombia captured their exciting trek to the region in this remarkable footage, taken just a few months ago:

If you’re planning one taking part in the trek, our friends over at See Colombia Travel can of course help you. It takes between 3-5 days (depending on what speed you want to take it at) and is considered easy-medium in difficulty.
