VIDEO: Heard of Cocora Valley in Colombia? Take a look at its otherworldly scenery…

Hello all! Here at the Colombia Travel Blog we have written about Cocora Valley a few times in the past but today, given that a picture speaks a thousand words, we thought we might actually show you some footage of the area, all thanks to our friends over at Off2 Colombia. Take a look:

Cocora Valley owes its special place on the tourist trail largely to the Wax Palm Tree, the tallest palm tree in the world and one that juts out eerily over the lush, rolling hills of the area. You’ll find Cocora Valley in the Quindo Department of Colombia, an easy jeep ride from the charming colonial village of Salento. It’s landscape unlike anything else you’ll see in the world, and won’t be forgotten quickly.

The stunning Cocora Valley

Off2 Colombia’s video is the first of its kind, and continues their series of videos capturing the magic of Colombia for all the world to see. In their Cocora Valley video they take the 5 hour trek deep into the valleys to capture some stunning views of the region, including shots of the famous Wax Palm, of Salento and of the landscape in its entirety. It’s a great way to get the travel information Cocora Valley currently lacks.
